Belvedere Castle is a fortification located in the urban park of Central Park, in New York, United States.
The architecture of the castle is framed in a Victorian style and atmosphere. It was built and designed in 1865 and is located at the highest point of Central Park. This fortification also fulfils other functions typical of the environment where it is located. For example, it is used as the headquarters of the Meteorological Observatory. The Henry Luce Nature Observatory can be found in the castle’s facilities; here you can see all the flora and fauna of the park. Today, the castle serves as a tourist attraction, as well as offering excellent views of the surrounding area.
Central Park visitors will find it easiest to get to Belvedere Castle by bike or on foot, since it’s in the center of the park. The closest subway stop is at 81st Street: Museum of Natural History Station on the A, B, and C lines.
Belvedere Castle was built by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux. An architectural hybrid of Gothic and Romanesque style, the Vaux design consists of several granite structures with a corner tower ending in a conical shape, with the expectation existing on the parapet walls.
The castle is home to an observatory. Naturalists use it for scientific work and discoveries. There are telescopes, microscopes, human skeletons and feathers, all of which are found in the observatory to be exhibited to children and young people. Another exhibition found in the observatory is that of a plywood tree with papier-mâché reproductions of various birds.
Found mid-park at 74th Street, west of Bethesda Terrace, the bridge spans 60 feet with a walkway constructed of ipe, a South American hardwood that turns a rich deep red when wet.
It is the first cast iron bridge in the park and was built between 1859 and 1862.
The Bow Bridge is the most romantic bridge in New York and a must see if you visit Central Park.. Its elegant form makes everybody fall in love. It is also one of the best places in Central Park to take pictures (any time of the year).
The construction of the bridge designed by Leon Moisseiff (1872-1943) began on 1 October 1901 and it was opened to the public on 31 December 1909. Thus, the Manhattan Bridge is the most modern of the three bridges connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn, built after the Brooklyn Bridge and the Williamsburg Bridge.
The Manhattan Bridge is a suspension bridge that crosses the East River in New York City, connecting Lower Manhattan (on Canal Street) with Brooklyn (on the extension of Flatbush Avenue), on Long Island. It was the last of the three lower East River suspension bridges to be built, preceded by the Brooklyn and Williamsburg bridges.
The Manhattan bridge is 41 metres high.
From the Manhattan side, you can take the 4, 5 or 6 train to the Brooklyn Bridge / City Hall stop or the J or Z train to the Chambers Street stop. There are other options, but these two are closer to the bridge walkway.
It has a bicycle path and a pedestrian path that starts in Canal Street, the disadvantage is that it is at the same level of the cars and the underground, so it is a noisy walk. If you decide to cross it, do it during working hours. At night and on holidays it is lonely.
It’s a super safe place with lots of police at the entrances and across the bridge. Many people go running and walking to cross it. It is a great place to take nighttime photos and offers spectacular views of Manhattan. It’s a must see that is worth the trip
The size of the bridge is 1,298292969 miles
Frosts, heavy rains and many other problems meant that this route was often cancelled, so engineer John Augustus Roebling proposed to build a bridge linking Manhattan to Brooklyn
Some reviewers take issue with the ticket prices, but this is not a very common concern. Other than this complaint, most people agree that Top of the Rock is worth the trip. The observation deck is indoor/outdoor, so it’s a good choice for pretty much any time of year.
The Top of The Rock rises to a height of 260m at the top of the 30 Rockefeller Plaza (or Comcast Building). Below its maximum height (on the 70th floor) there are two more observation points, on the 67th and 69th floors, as well as a restaurant with views on the 56th floor.
The ticket prices for the Top of the Rock observatory at its standard rate (without VIP access) are $38 for adults, $32 for children (6-12 years) and seniors (+62), $36.
It is always better to buy tickets in advance online, you can do it here. When you buy online you will be given a receipt in the form of a ticket which you must print out so that you can use it when you arrive. You can also get in if you buy a New York tourist card.
The Flatiron building, with its 22 floors and 87 metres, is wrongly considered to be the oldest skyscraper in Manhattan still standing, although the fact is that the Park Row Building (1899) is older and taller.
175 5th Ave, New York, NY 10010, United State
Narrow and isolated, as you can see in the photo above, the skeleton is made up of 3500 tons of steel and 87 meters high, which acts as cross reinforcements to cope with the strong winds in the area.
The Flatiron Building was built in 1902, thirteen years later. However, the Tower Building was demolished in 1913 and no longer exists. This is why the oldest skyscraper in New York (and still standing) is said to be the Flatiron Building.
Harry S. Black, the owner of the Fuller company, had shown his interest in the efficiency of high office buildings located on narrow plots of land.

The owners of the Chrusler building are Tishman Speyer, a US company investing in real estate and the Abu Dhabi Investment Council.
Just because of the land it occupies and its popularity, its value would amount to 1.2 billion dollars, but because the future sale would not include the land where it is located, its value would drop to 150 million dollars.
The building was a clear representation of the company that owned the Chrysler Corporation, which was involved in trade and industry. In 1030 when it was completed, it was for many years the tallest building, and therefore a representation of one of the largest companies in the world.
405 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10174, United State.
It is possible to visit it, but only from 08:00 in the morning until 18:00 in the afternoon, from Monday to Friday. It is not open to the general public on public holidays or weekends.
Coincidentally, one of the tallest buildings in the world at the time resulted in only five people being killed during its construction. This is unusual considering the lack of security at the time.
The Chrysler building, has a height of 319 meters, although now this figure seems very small, we have to take into account that it became the tallest building at the time.

The building opened its doors in 1871.
Today, in 2021, the Grand Central Terminal is 150 years old.
It was built by Cornelius Vanderbilt, a millionaire who was involved in maritime and rail transport, hence his interest in creating it.
In 1994, Metro-North took over the operation of Grand Central Terminal and began extensive renovations. Now restored to its 1913 splendor, Grand Central has become a beloved Manhattan landmark and a busy passenger centre.

If you walk you can get there in 13 minutes as it is only 0.6 miles, but if you want to do it by car it will take you four minutes.
Atlas is a bronze statue at Rockefeller Center, within the courtyard of the International Building, in downtown Manhattan in New York City. It is across Fifth Avenue from St. Patrick’s Cathedral. The sculpture represents the ancient Greek Titan Atlas holding the heavens on his shoulders.
Atlas was created by the sculptor Lee Lawrie with the help of René Paul Chambellan and was installed in 1937. The sculpture is in the Art Deco style of the Rockefeller Center. The figure of Atlas in the sculpture is 4.6 m high, while the whole statue is 14 m high. It weighs 7 short tons (6,400 kg), and is the largest sculpture in Rockefeller Center.
Atlas is depicted carrying the sky dome on his shoulders. The north-south axis of the harmonic sphere on his shoulders points to the position of the North Star in relation to the city of New York. The statue stands on a muscular leg on top of a small stone pedestal, the corner of which faces Fifth Avenue.

It was John A. Roebling’s Sons Co. a company dedicated to the creation of steel and steel cables, famous for the wire cable used in the suspension bridge over the East River in Manhattan.
If we count from the beginning to the end of the bridge it has a length of 1834 meters.
There is a perfect footbridge so that the pedestrian can cross it without problems and thus enjoy spectacular views of the bridge and the city.
The designer of the Brooklyn Bridge was John Augustus Roebling, an American civil engineer of German origin, who pioneered the use of suspension bridges.
It was quite a feat to build this suspension bridge at the time, and its fame is due to the fact that it links two very important cities, Manhattan and Brooklyn
The material is granite, for the most part although for the hanging part they used materials such as steel and for the base of the columns wood that sank in the river.
Washington Square N, New York, NY 10012, United State.
The Washington Square Arch is a marble triumphal arch built in 1892 in Washington Square Park in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Lower Manhattan in New York City. It commemorates the 100th anniversary of George Washington’s inauguration as President of the United States in 1789 and forms the southern end of Fifth Avenue.
The marble Washington Arch, designed by noted architect Stanford White, was built between 1890-1892 and replaced a wooden arch erected in 1889 to honor the 100th anniversary of the first president’s inauguration.

In 1968 they were created, removing some docks that were deteriorated, which today we can see was a success, since it happened to give life to the neighborhood

The Beekman Tower, also known as the Panhellenic Tower, is a 26-story art deco skyscraper located on the corner of First Avenue and East 49th Street in Midtown Manhattan, New York. It was built between 1927 and 1928 according to a design by John Mead Howells.
The Beekman Tower had been built for the New York chapter of the Panhellenic Association as a club and hotel for women in college sororities, but due to lack of sponsorship, it was opened to the general public in the mid-1930s. It later became a hotel and then corporate flats.
It has a design with numerous setbacks, chamfers in its corners and a mass that borders the limits of its lot. Its sculptural ornamentation was designed by Rene Paul Chambellan in an art deco style with Gothic influences. In 1998, the Commission for the Preservation of Historical Monuments of New York made the building an official symbol of the city.
