Gantry Plaza State Park

Gantry Plaza State Park is a 12-acre state park on the East River in the Hunters Point section of Long Island City in the Queens District of New York City. The park is located in a former shipyard and manufacturing district, and includes remnants of past facilities in the area. The most prominent feature of the park is a set of porticoes with floating wagon transfer bridges, which in turn were connected by barges carrying freight cars between Queens and Manhattan.
